For the first time ever, on Saturday, December 5 from 7:00-9:00, a “Peek-a-Boo Preview” will give adults an opportunity to enjoy wine, cheese, dessert and live entertainment by Jay B while getting to bid on the-best-of-the-best at our one-of-a-kind silent auction before the big crowd the next day all for only $10.
“I am so excited to host the 26th Annual Hanukkah Happening” said Chair Rachel Herman. “Every year it has gotten bigger and better. It is wonderful to have a place for the entire community to get together to celebrate Hanukkah, create Hanukkah crafts, eat delicious Hanukkah foods, and buy amazing Hanukkah presents and prizes for the whole family. The Silent Auction this year is going to feature trips and hotel stays – really exciting stuff! Also, I’m excited to introduce the Peek-a-Boo Preview giving people a very special chance to have a relaxed, kid and crowd-free chance to bid on the auction items.”
Children will be thrilled with special appearances by Spiderman and Belle the Princess and the opportunity to have their photos taken with one of their favorite heroes or heroines. Other festivities for young people include carnival game and creative craft booths, “jumpys” such as Elmo and Sesame (for the little ones) and the Pirate Jump and Slide Combo and Turbo Rush-Dual Lane Obstacle Course (for older kids), plus lots more.
Our famous silent auction features luxury and practical items ranging from a motor scooter, double kayak, San Francisco Get-Away, restaurant vouchers, jewelry from Double Happiness, items from Children’s Land to our popular themed baskets. Everyone can enjoy delicious food including holiday latkes and home baked goods.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Inclusion and scholarship programs at Nierman Preschool and the JCC Youth and Camp Committee.
