SAN DIEGO (Press Release)–The Jewish Community Foundation (JCF) recently announced the hiring of Sharyn Goodson as Program Officer for the Leichtag Family Foundation, with which the JCF has a consulting relationship.
As program officer, Sharyn will develop and implement grant-making and other programs to further the Foundation’s strategies.
“We are delighted to welcome Sharyn to our team, said Charlene Seidle, vice president, philanthropy. Her background in program development and analysis from both the funder and provider perspective will significantly enhance the Foundation and the community we serve.”
Previously, Goodson was director of grants of Jewish Family Service of San Diego and program director of the Aspen Community Foundation in Aspen, CO. Goodson also served as director of the Career Development Center and assistant director of development of Jewish Family and Children’s Service in Pittsburgh. While in Pittsburgh, Sharyn received the United Jewish Federation’s Ira and Nanette Gordon Community Professional Achievement Award for professional leadership and a demonstrated commitment to Jewish communal service.
Goodson earned her bachelor’s degree in English from Mills College and her master’s degree in career development from John F. Kennedy University.
