LA JOLLA, CA (Press Release)– The 27th Annual Hanukkah Happening will take place at the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, Jacobs Family Campus, on Sunday, December 5, , from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Hanukkah Happening is San Diego’s largest Hanukkah event for families and is fun for people of all ages and faiths. Price for admission is $2 for JCC members and $3 for non-members. Children under 2 years old are free.
Children will be thrilled with special appearances by Spiderman and Snow White and the opportunity to have their photos taken with these popular characters. Other festivities for young people include carnival games, creative crafts, inflatable “jumpys” and obstacle courses for kids of all ages, plus lots more.
The Silent Auction features luxury and practical items including a San Francisco getaway from All-Ways Travel (airfare and accommodations), top children’s Furniture & Accessories from Children’s Land, WayBeyond day camps and fitness fun classes for children, OEX Mission Bay tandem and single kayak, a 4-hour experience with the Tesla Roadster Sport, the electric supercar and the world’s first outdoor elliptical bike, the ElliptiGO.
Also not to be missed are themed baskets appealing to every interest and age. Of course, everyone can enjoy delicious food such as holiday latkes and home baked goods. Tuesday, November 30 from 5:30-8:30, the public is also welcome to be part of the Hanukkah Happening Preview Party. Adults will be able to shop in a relaxed kid-free environment with the opportunity to enjoy wine, cheese, dessert and live entertainment while getting to view and purchase the-best-of-the-best at our Silent Auction before the big crowd on Sunday. All items $200 and over can be purchased on the spot for 20% off the listed price. Child care will be available for kids of all ages with an advance reservation. Admission is $10.
