Seacrest Village plans Feb. 5 fundraiser on ice

ENCINITAS, California (Press Release)– The Women’s Auxiliary of Seacrest Village Retirement
Communities has announced its 33rd Annual Gala, “Champagne on Ice,” which will take place on
Saturday, February 5, at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

Event chair Jane Ottenstein, along with Women’s Auxiliary President Mary Epsten, will lead this
year’s event committee as they present an evening of dining, dancing and a spectacular presentation onice! All proceeds from the event will be directed towards the Resident Assistance Fund at Seacrest
Village to help raise the approximately $1.5 million needed in charitable care each year.

This extraordinary affair will feature dinner, live auction, gourmet dessert and coffee bar
followed by an all-new, custom created show produced by Seaside Ice, LLC. The special event
production will include acast of seven professional ice skaters, including international star
Marina Karamysheva, grand prix competitor Michael Villareal, star of Legends on Ice Aimee Micu, and fatured performers Ellicia Shephard and Mike Modro.

The 25-minute production will celebrate the beauty and pleasures of the winter season, featuring solo and nsemble creations in a variety of musical styles, accompanied by theatrically composed lighting and ultimedia projections.

Producing ice shows and seasonal ice rink events, Seaside Ice, LLC is a member of On Axis Productions,a full service production company offering live event and video production in a variety of fields. On Axis Productions was created by Tom Kearney of Pinch Hit Productions and Scott Williams of Turtle Island Productions, Inc., and through Turtle Island has created and produced a number of annual ice events including TLC’s Ice Diaries, Comcast’s American Open, Beverly Hills On Ice, Skate of Champions, Santa Fe Holiday On Ice, NBC’s Brian Boitano Skating Spectacular and 2010 All That Skate LA.

Each year Seacrest Village Retirement Communities serves almost four hundred seniors between the
Encinitas and Rancho Bernardo campuses. For over forty years, the Women’s Auxiliary has aided
Seacrest Village in its ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality of care in a warm and dignifiedenvironment for older adults in our community, regardless of their ability to pay.
