Israel Prison Service commanders view Carmel embers

HAIFA (Press Release)–Class 2010 of the Israel Prison Service’s commander’s course arrived at the University of Haifa, Monday (December 13), and took in an aerial view of the Carmel Park from its Eshkol Tower observatory, a week after the enormous fire on the Carmel caused the death of 37 of their friends on the bus that was consumed in the inferno. Some of the trainees in this course were direct commanders for some of the cadets killed in the tragedy.

Commander of this course, Eran Pier, said that it was important for him and his trainees to wind up the course with a tour of the Carmel area. “Toward the end of the course, our cadets wrote: ‘The journey ends; the challenge begins’. That was their command and we are continuing it,” he said.
