$45,000 Lacking to End U.J.F. Drive
Southwestern Jewish Press, June 24, 1955, Page 1
This week’s report shows that the United Jewish Fund Campaign was still showing an encouraging increase over last year with $155,000 raised to date, Max Rabinowitz, Chairman of the 1955 Campaign announced.
$45,000 more is needed to reach the absolute minimum required to meet the community’s obligations to the United Jewish Appeal, the local Jewish Social Welfare agencies, and the requirements of the national agencies and organizations which have been beneficiaries of the Fund in the past and which will no doubt be included for 1955.
20 percent of the prospective contributors in the community, Rabinowitz reported, have ot as yet made their gifts and it is upon these people that the responsibility of the success or failure of the campaign falls.
