Mayor of San Diego Sends Greetings

Southwestern Jewish Press, September 16, 1955, Page 1

The Southwestern Jewish Press has long been active in civic affairs, striving at all times for the betterment of this community. As the only Anglo-Jewish newspaper serving San Diego County, you have been instrumental in seeking the improvement of interracial relationships. To this end, your newspaper has been eminently successful.

It is of particular significance that the Southwestern Jewish Press’ anniversary coincides with Rosh Hashono.  As each New Year approaches, it heralds new vistas of ideas and ideals to be pursued by your newspaper and the Jewish community.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend Rosh Hashono greetings to the entire Jewish community on the 300th Anniversary of Jewry in America.

Sincerely,

Charles C. Dail
