Give Bin Laden bounty to 9-11 families—Congressman Weiner

WASHINGTON, DC (Press Release) – After the White House announced Monday that the bounty for information leading to the capture or killing of Osama Bin Laden will likely never be paid out, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D –New York), who Sunday called for the money to instead be given to organizations that help 9/11 survivors, families and first responders, released the following statement:

“Now that the White House has made it clear the bounty on the head of Osama Bin Laden will likely never be paid out, there’s no reason to keep that $50 million sitting unused in a bank account.”

“Let’s give this money to help those who deserve it most – the survivors, families and first responders whose lives were forever changed on 9/11.”
