SAN DIEGO – The title License to Murder may give the impression of an exciting detective novel, but in fact, this is a 98-page essay with 39 pages of end notes about the devastating effect that the czarist forgery, The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, has had on the Jewish people for more than a century.
“The Protocols” was favorite reading for Henry Ford, Adolf Hitler, Gamel Nasser,Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and nearly every other modern-day Haman who seeks a rationalization for all consuming Jew-hatred. In essence, the Protocols fabricated a global Jewish conspiracy, in which leaders of the Jewish people, plotted secretly to take over the world by any means necessary.
Notwithstanding that there never was such a secret meeting, that the so-called Jewish leaders were never named, the place of the meeting never identified, and that entire sections of the so-called Protocols were lifted from previously published fictional literature, many people to this day are more than willing to believe that Jews live for the day when they can subjugate people of all other religions.
There was a time when the Jewish community thought the Protocols so patently ridiculous that leaders hesitated to even bother denying the events it describes – lest by debating, they gave the Protocols increased status.
Author Alex Grobman, a historian specializing in Jewish history who serves as a director of the America-Israel Friendship League, contends that The Protocols, must be counteracted, lest the tract, now multiplying into many editions in different languages, provide an excuse for hostile actions, even another genocide, against the Jewish people.
He points out that if the world peoples become convinced, even on the basis of a myth, that the Jewish people are plotting their destruction, in their mind it justifies preemptive strikes against Israelis and other Jews.
