SAN DIEGO — House Republicans are outraged over the glitches in the Affordable Health Care website. One was overheard saying, “If we would have known it would be done so incompetently, we could have spared voting over 40 times to repeal it and shutting down the government, spent our energy on voting to repeal the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act and shutting down the government to defund it.
As the Obama Administration frantically tries to fix the Affordable Health website, Mitt Romney has suggested that the job be outsourced to an IT operator in Mumbai.
Sheldon Adelson has proposed that the United States drop an atomic bomb on a sparsely populated part of Iran before conducting serious negotiations with it about halting its nuclear program. This is consistent with his labor resolution practice of bombing the headquarters of unionized casino workers before negotiating with them.
Pope Francis has suspended the Bishop of Limburg for his extravagant lifestyle and spending. Nicknamed the “Bishop of Bling,” Peter Tebartz-van Elst accepted the pontiff’s decision and announced his plans to become a rapper named Father Flav.
A number of French officials are trying to prevent a law banning circumcision from being enacted. Appealing to French sensibilities, they contend that foreskins aren’t fashionable and are the equivalent of wearing hoodies on the penis.
