SAN DIEGO — Happy 5775! I wish all of my readers a happy and healthy new year. And, while you’re eating apples and honey, please think about some financial resolutions.

A void consumer debt, such as credit cards.

P lan for for the future – everyone should have a comprehensive financial plan.

P ay your taxes – before year-end if you get a write-off, not until they’re due if you don’t.

L ive beneath your means – that’s the only way you’ll get ahead!

E ngage qualified professionals – CPA, estate attorney, Registered Investment Advisor

H old your investments long-term; don’t try to time the market.

O btain insurance; long-term disability and umbrella policies are often overlooked.

N ever give away more than you can afford, but always give something to charity.

E quity lines should only be used in a pinch; don’t use it to up your lifestyle.

Y om Kippur is around the corner; remember to eat your apples and honey!
