SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — Beth Israel of San Diego Men’s Club will welcome Lou Israel Dunst, Holocaust survivor, as its guest speaker at the October 22nd Dinner Forum. Dunst will share his experience and tales of survival living through five concentration and labor camps and how he eluded certain death in two different Gas Chambers in Auschwitz and Mathausen.
He will give us some extraordinary insight into what he and others endured and will also discuss how he turned personal disaster into not only being a ‘survivor’ but also into victory and a determination to spread the message that the survival of The State of Israel is necessary for the survival of all good people.
Dunst is a very sought after speaker and has spoken to many and varied audiences ranging from middle and high schools, universities , Jewish and non-Jewish groups, Navy Seals, jails and juvenile detention centers and even to the Superior Court Judges of every state of the Union. He has also been praised by many Jewish and non-Jewish organizations, former San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders and filmmaker Steven Spielberg. He was also interviewed in Spielberg’s effort to record the personal stories of survivors and other witnesses.
He is also the subject of a book titled: My Bargain with God; the Story of Holocaust Survivor Lou Dunst that was written by Rabbi Ben Kamin with an Afterword by Alberto Hamui.
This program is open to the entire San Diego community. The dinner fee: $14 with an RSVP, $17 without an RSVP. You may RSVP via the following link https://secure.jotformpro.com/form/42365495384969.
