SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — The Men’s Club of Beth Israel will feature Bert Lazerow, Professor of Law at USD and an expert in international law, as its featured speaker at the August 19 Dinner Forum. Lazerow’s presentation will focus on the subject of recovering Holocaust Art.
While Lazerow teaches and writes in the areas of contracts, art law and taxation, as well as comparative and international aspects of those subjects, he is considered an expert in the field of returning art stolen by the Nazi’s during WWII to the original owners.
He graduated from Harvard Law School in 1963 and taught at the University of Louisville and was a visiting professor at Université de Paris X Nanterre and University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He joined the USD School of Law faculty in 1967.
Lazerow recently was the subject of a profile on San Diego Jewish World.
