ENCINITAS, California (Press Release) – The Women’s Auxiliary of Seacrest Village Retirement Communities will host its 38th Annual Gala, “Silver Screen” on Saturday, February 27th at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla with Esther Fischer and Linda Platt serving as Gala Co-Chairs. The annual gala raises funds to benefit Seacrest Village’s Fund-A-Need project and the Resident Assistance Fund. Hundreds of guests are expected to attend to support these important causes. The Resident Assistance Fund provides support for current and future residents who have depleted their financial resources and have nowhere to turn for housing and healthcare. The evening will celebrate the many residents and families whose lives have been transformed as a result of the care and services they receive at Seacrest Village.
The vintage Hollywood Glam-themed evening will feature a cocktail reception starting at 6pm, live auction, dinner and entertainment, including dancing and music by Wayne Foster Entertainment. The Fund-a-Need goal is $200,000 to raise funds for an important addition to Seacrest life and connectivity: Seacrest Village TV. This will allow the most frail residents to experience life happening throughout the communities.
“For 38 years, the San Diego community has turned out in impressive numbers to help raise money that gives hope to seniors who are desperately in need of housing, comfort and support,” said Len Gregory, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Seacrest Village. “Every year we gather to support our important mission of providing services to seniors in a Jewish environment that promotes community, independence and innovation, while having fun at the same time. I am grateful to this year’s Gala Co-Chairs, Esther Fischer and Linda Platt, who created the vision for the evening of glitz, glamour and giving in the tradition of Grand Hollywood. I am truly looking forward to yet another successful annual gala.”
