SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — Beth Israel’s Men’s Club and the Beth Israel Social Action Committee will host several San Diego City Council District 1 candidates at a May 18th Dinner Forum. Attendees will hear the candidate’s views, plans and platforms in preparation for the November 2016 election. District 1 includes Carmel Valley, University City, and La Jolla.
This 6:30 p.m. Dinner Forum will be moderated by Phil Ginsburg who has been a real estate and business attorney for 40 years, is a partner at Fisch, Spiegler, Ginsburg and Jagolinzer APC, is chair of ADL of San Diego and is security chair for Beth Israel and the JCC.
The following three candidates below have agreed to participate in the Dinner Forum. Candidates Kyle Heiskala and Bruce Lightner were also invited to participate, but declined, citing scheduling conflicts.
Barbara Bry is a high tech entrepreneur and community leader who worked her way through college and grad school, earning a Master’s Degree in Business from Harvard. Barbara was on the founding team of several local high-tech companies, including ProFlowers.com, which has created hundreds of local jobs. More information about. Ray Ellis says he is running for City Council to create a locally-controlled and drought-proof water supply, fix San Diego’s deteriorating roads and infrastructure, improve neighborhood services, create good-paying jobs and foster wage growth. Louis A. Rodolico is a retired Licensed California Architect. He worked mostly on hospital projects but was also a Project Architect for the renovation of the Grant Hotel in San Diego and brought the complex Viejas Gymnasium to completion.
