Missiles in the Night
By Laurie Baron
SAN DIEGO− Missiles in the Night (sing to the tune of “Strangers in the Night”)
Missiles in the night
No twitter trolling.
A simple show of might
To raise my polling.
For the babies’ sake.
Distracting Congress too.
Something Jared said.
Bannon was outraged.
Isolation’s dead.
The US engaged.
Barack was to blame
And he’s a Kenyan too.
Missiles in the night, changing the story.
Missiles in the night, symbolic foray.
Up until the moment, when I bombed the foe,
Little did I know
That my great decision would not be subject to derision.
And ever since that night,
No talk of health care.
Missiles in the night.
No talk of clean air.
It turned out so right, with missiles in the night.
