SAN DIEGO — After a contentious press conference about the President’s unveiling of immigration reforms, senior advisor Stephen Miller secretly ordered the removal of Emma Lazarus’ “The New Colossus” from the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty and replaced it with a poem he authored.

Topple the Statue and erect a wall
Make it impervious and build it tall.
Withdraw the welcome to refugees.
ICE will deport them with its deputies.
Only the fluent and skilled need apply
To enter the corporate labor supply.
Menial jobs will be done by our poor.
If they won’t pick fruit, they can fight in our wars.
Lady Liberty, aren’t you tired?
Put down the torch, extinguish its fire!
No need for a beacon; better a guard                                                                                          Who’ll make it hard to get a green card.
