Seacrest sets gala to celebrate its 75th year

ENCINITAS, California (Press Release) — Gala Co-Chairs Anne Nagorner and Suzi Feldman along with an expected 400 guests, will gather on Saturday, June 2 for the 2018 Women’s Auxiliary Diamond Anniversary. It will be an exquisite, diamond-studded night featuring a champagne and cocktail reception, live auction, a multi-course dazzling dinner, and live music with dancing.

The Diamond Anniversary Gala has a robust fundraising goal for the evening. All proceeds raised will support the Seacrest Village Resident Assistance Fund, which provides charitable care for those in our community who are most in need. The number of seniors requiring assistance to cover the cost of their food, shelter and physical care is growing tremendously, this year alone Seacrest will provide over $2.5 million in charitable care.

Seacrest Village is celebrating 75 years of being a life-line in our community. For 75 years Seacrest has not closed their doors, not even for one night. With this special anniversary, all gifts of $18,000 and above will be recognized as “75th Anniversary Visionaries.” Names and dedication inscriptions will be listed on a beautiful 75th Anniversary Visionaries Wall prominently displayed in the main entrance of Seacrest Village in Encinitas. All 75th Anniversary Visionaries receive recognition in the 75th Anniversary video shown at the gala and throughout the 75th Anniversary year celebrations, as well as in the gala program. We are grateful for the growing list of families who have already joined this special group and are setting the stage for the next 75 years.

To support the increasing financial needs of our community, the evening will include a Live Auction with an opportunity to bid on the following items: Dinner for 10 with wine pairings at Pamplemousse Grille, a Rancho Valencia Resort package, and a fabulous theater and shopping weekend get-a-way in New York for two including business class flights, three nights in any Hyatt property in Manhattan, tickets to see a hit Broadway’s musical, and lunch at Bergdorf Goodman. There will also be a chance to raise your paddle to support the “Fund-A-Need”: The Resident Assistance Fund to provide charitable care for those whose savings have been depleted due to illness or injury and for those who simply have no one to turn to for help.

This year there will be special ticket pricing of $75 for Rising Leaders (guests 40 years of age and under) to commemorate 75 years of Seacrest. Each guest who purchases a Rising Leaders ticket before May 4, 2018 will be entered into a drawing to win a one-night stay at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla on the night of the gala. Rising Leaders, and all attendees, are encouraged to make it a stay-cation and live it up!

A dedicated Steering Committee is in place to make this fundraising goal a reality. Many thanks go to Rusti Bartell, Melissa Bartell, Judy Belinsky, Cindy Bloch, Marilynn Boesky, Jessica Chodorow, Liz Coden, Suzi Cohen, Dalia Cohen, Esther Fischer, Jean Gaylis, Sylvia Geffen, Merrill Haimsohn, Lisa Levine, Shelle Orlansky, Linda Otchis, Roz Pappelbaum, Stacey Parselany, Monica Perlman, Shirley Pidgeon, Lori Polin, Sharon Wax, Helene Ziman, Alana Ziman and Women’s Auxiliary President, Mary Epsten.
