SAN DIEGO — Beth Israel’s Men’s Club has scheduled Joshua Katz to be its guest speaker at the 6:30 p.m. dinner forum Wednesday, June 20 Dinner Forum. His presentation will cover “How Will the New Tax Law Affect You or Your Business.” This program is open to the entire San Diego Community, both men and women. Temple or Men’s Club membership is not a requirement to attend.
Katz specializes in tax law, representing corporate and individual clients before the Internal Revenue Service, California Franchise Tax Board, the California State Board of Equalization, the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, and other State taxing authorities.
His focus is on tax controversy matters, which includes: audits, appeals, tax liens, levies, installment agreements, and offers in compromise. He also advises clients with respect to compliance issues involving offshore businesses and assets. He is fluent in both English and Spanish. In 2018, he was selected as a Super Lawyers® Rising Star.
Prior to joining his current firm, Higgs Fletcher and Mack, Mr. Katz practiced civil and criminal law in the San Francisco Bay area. While in law school, he interned for the San Francisco District Attorney Pre-trial Division and the San Diego County District Attorney Economic Crimes Division and Lifer Hearing Unit.
