The Argentine Tango (tune: Some Enchanted Evening)
SAN DIEGO-With world leaders now in Argentina for the G-20 conference, these lyrics came to mind:
Some G-20 conference, you may see Vlad Putin
You may see Vlad Putin across a crowded room.
And somehow he knows, you’d love to speak.
But fake news would hear and leak and just leak.
Back in old Helsinki, you were deferential.
Not so presidential, as you confirmed his claims
And Mueller suspects, you were compromised By dealings and meetings, no longer disguised.
Can Mueller explain it? Can he tell you how?
Witnesses give reasons; you’re in bigly trouble now.
Some midterm elections, when you lost the one House.
With investigations looming; subpoenas being planned.
Then fly to Moscow and make it your home.
Share the Kremlin with Vlad, you won’t be alone.
You’ll get asylum, never let him go.
Melania won’t mind much, never let him go.
