Nursery Rhymes from Alabama

SAN DIEGO−I’m a little fetus, short and stout.
Hear my heartbeat;
I want out.
If you abort me, you will fail.
And your doctor will go to jail.

Mary had a pregnancy.
She thought it was the flu.
She found out one month in
The stick had turned to blue.
Once the state heard she was late.
It claimed it owned her womb.
If she planned to terminate.
It would spell her doom.
She knew who the daddy was
Since it had been incest.
Her father had molested her,
That’s why she was so stressed.
She was forced to bear the child
With sorrow and with pain.
Pretend that she loved it.
Although it was her bane.
*
Jack and Jill went up the hill
With water that they carried.
Jill fell down, began to crown.
Then quickly she miscarried.
The EMTs arrived but were quite suspicious.
Did Jill plan this with motives so malicious?
So they let a judge decide,
If she had committed feticide.
