ENCINITAS, California (Press Release) – Seacrest Foundation presents the Women’s Auxiliary’s Virtual Gala on February 21 with Gala Co-Chairs Cindy Bloch and Jean Gaylis. The Hearts of Gold Gala promises to be a lively online production and will include messages from our Seacrest Village Heroes, residents, and special guests, entertainment, as well as a Live and Silent Auction, and a chance to support our “Fund-A-Need”: changing the future for residents in need at Seacrest Village.
The Seacrest Foundation Women’s Auxiliary is thrilled to honor our Seacrest Heroes, who are ensuring the safety and well-being of the residents of Seacrest Village, while providing love and compassion during these challenging times.
Seacrest Foundation is excited to announce that longtime supporters of Seacrest, Sharon and David Wax, have committed a beautiful matching gift of $500,000 to the Hearts of Gold gala. Sharon and David shared, “We are delighted to give this gift in honor and recognition of our dear friends and gala leadership, Cindy and Larry Bloch, Jean and Franklin Gaylis, Mary and Jon Epsten, and Esther Fischer, for their support and dedication to Seacrest.” The Waxes, who generously support many Jewish organizations and the San Diego community at large, are especially eager to help motivate the community to double their impact to support Seacrest during this time of crisis. They continued by saying “Seacrest Village residents are among the most vulnerable in our population, and it’s imperative that we provide as much support as possible to ensure their care and safety.”
Annie Nagorner, Gala Fundraising Chair, states “We have an ambitious fundraising goal as the pandemic has proven that the need for support is greater than ever. We must provide assistance for those whose savings have been depleted due to illness, injury, or for any reason, and for those who may have nowhere else to turn to for help. Additionally, we must provide tremendous support for the COVID-19 Emergency Fund. Seacrest’s needs have been growing and changing, and funds are required to keep the Seacrest community safe and healthy.”
All Hearts of Gold Gala contributors who support Seacrest Foundation with a gift of $10,000 and above will be recognized as patrons with Hearts of Gold. Patrons name(s) and dedication inscribed will appear on a gorgeous central recognition display, along with a prominent Hearts of Gold art installation being created expressly for Seacrest Village. They will also receive recognition in event communication, the gala livestream, website, and throughout the year in all Seacrest Foundation print and media.
Co-Chairs Cindy Bloch and Jean Gaylis are pleased to work with Women’s Auxiliary President, Mary Epsten and the Hearts of Gold Gala Steering Committee, a dedicated group of women committed to Seacrest Foundation and safeguarding Seacrest Village residents in need. The gala committee members have planned an online gala that will be both meaningful and joyful in the celebration of Seacrest’s Heroes, while raising funds for the Seacrest Village Resident Assistance Fund and the COVID-19 Emergency Fund.
This year’s gala will feature both a Silent and Live Auction, some the auction highlights include: four (4) VIP tickets to live tapings of each of the following: The Voice, The Bachelor, and The Bachelorette, once in-person filming resumes, along with hotel stays in Los Angeles; a case of wine hand-selected by the Gala Steering Committee, each bottle valued at over $50, along with a 56 bottle Allavino wine refrigerator; a private dinner for ten (10) at Pamplemousse Grille, hosted by Chef Jeffrey Strauss; an online cooking class for eight (8) with Debbie Kornberg of “Spice It Up With Deb”; and many more fabulous items!
