In Memoriam to the Victims of Highland Park
Guns kill Americans; we should expect
Some who bear arms will inflict harms.
With malice background checks detect.
From the temples to the churches.
To the markets and parades once secure.
Guns kill Americans, easy for all to procure.
Guns kill Americans, more with AKs.
Higher death counts, injuries mount.
Blame Congress, the courts, NRA.
From the nightclubs to the classrooms.
To abusers, gangs, and armed thieves.
Guns kill Americans. The nation grieves!

Other than a battlefield, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to own an automatic rifle. We live in a sick world and this hateful, young man tragically changed the lives of an entire country, nothing is safe anymore. How sad, our children and grandchildren will never enjoy the freedoms we took for granted. Even sadder is his father has no regrets, pathetic!
