Jewish Community Foundation Introduces Climate Change Initiative

SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — The Jewish Community Foundation is excited to introduce giv4 climate san diego, a new way to support local nonprofits having an impact on climate change in San Diego. After a five-month deep dive with climate experts, we curated a fund of nonprofits working on (1) immediate physical impact; (2) advocacy and justice impact; and, (3) educational impact.

Our 2021-launched giv4 homelessness initiative has helped hundreds of San Diegans develop a more sophisticated understanding of homelessness while generating over $1.9M in impact for the giv4 nonprofits. We look forward to taking donors on a similar journey through local solutions to climate change.

Each month, we then tell the story of one of these nonprofits and help donors understand the complexities of addressing climate change. Donors will have access to site visits, volunteer opportunities, and educational resources.
