BEVERLY HILLS, California (Press Release) — On Dec. 14 in Beverly Hills, Israel Bonds Platinum Society hosted a lecture by noted activist Yoseph Haddad, who shared the story of his passionate advocacy for Israel from the perspective of an Israeli Arab during the current war.
From his vantage point as an Israeli Arab, Haddad is in a unique position to use such presentations to debunk the notion that Israel is an “apartheid state,” and to raise awareness surrounding how Israel creates more opportunities for Arabs to participate in democracy than any other country in the Middle East.
Haddad provided a number of stories of Jews and Arabs working together to make positive changes that bridge cultural gaps, through the work of his humanitarian organization.
The event — hosted at the home of Sam and Hila Delug — also included remarks from Amit Mekel, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Consulate General of Israel to Pacific Southwest, as well as Guy Melamed, who spoke of his service in the IDF elite rescue Unit 669 and shared heartbreaking and heroic stories of first-hand accounts from the war.
