Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh resigned in Ramallah on Monday, saying the latest developments in the region, including the Gaza war, were behind the move. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas reportedly requested the resignation following pressure from Arab countries in the region and the United States.
