SAN DIEGO — As we close out another remarkable year, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the unwavering dedication and resilience of Jewish Federation of San Diego.

This year has been a testament to our ability to adapt, innovate, and remain steadfast in our mission to support and uplift our Jewish community. This year, we have truly “met the moment,” proving our relevance and impact in ways that will resonate for years to come.

Responding to the Challenges

This year was marked by significant challenges, including rising antisemitism and global conflicts that have deeply affected our community. Despite these obstacles, we have shown remarkable resilience and strength. Our Federation has been at the forefront of addressing these issues, providing critical support and resources to those in need. We have amplified our advocacy efforts, ensuring that our community’s voice is heard and our concerns are addressed.

Strengthening Our Community

Our Federation has almost doubled our campaign from last year, a clear indication of the trust and confidence our community places in us. This growth has allowed us to expand our reach and impact, adding new staff and launching crucial programs that address the evolving needs of our community. From supporting vulnerable populations to fostering Jewish education and culture, our initiatives have touched countless lives and reinforced the bonds that unite us. I am confident that our dedicated and passionate Federation staff will continue to earn the trust and confidence of the San Diego community.

Reflecting on Our Achievements

Looking back on the past year, it is clear that our Federation has made significant strides in fulfilling our mission. We have launched important programs that address the critical issues facing our community, from combating antisemitism to supporting Jewish identity and continuity. Our collaborative efforts with local and international partners, including the Jewish Agency for Israel and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, have amplified our impact and extended our reach globally. I have been on Federation Missions and seen firsthand the important role these international partners play in helping our Jewish family around the world.

Moving Forward with Purpose

As we move into the next year, we remain committed to our mission and the values that guide us. We will continue to innovate, advocate, and support our community with the same dedication and passion that have driven our success this year. Our Federation’s relevance and resilience are a testament to the collective strength of our community, and together, we will continue to build a brighter future for all.

Let us carry this momentum forward, confident in our ability to meet whatever challenges lie ahead and to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Am Yisrael Chai.
