MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (Press Releases) — The Republican Jewish Coalition and Jews for Trump sent out appeals to Jewish voters to support the GOP ticket of Donald J. Trump and J.D. Vance.
Here’s what they had to say:
Republican Jewish Coalition: Chairman Senator Norm Coleman and CEO Matt Brooks released the following statement in response to President Donald Trump’s selection of Senator J.D. Vance as his Vice Presidential running mate:
The RJC celebrates President Trump’s selection of Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate.
We were proud to endorse and actively support Senator Vance for the US Senate in 2022. He is an incredibly important voice in support of our shared conservative values and principles.
For almost 4 years, the failed Biden-Harris agenda has crippled America both at home and abroad. This November, the Trump-Vance ticket will get our country back on the right track of strength, prosperity, and peace.
A son of Middletown, Ohio, Marine Corps veteran, and successful businessman, J.D. Vance’s life story is the quintessential American dream. We know Senator Vance will serve our country with distinction as Vice President as he has in the US Senate. We also know Senator Vance will always stand with the Jewish community and with America’s key strategic ally Israel.
With the stakes so high, the RJC enthusiastically welcomes Senator Vance to the ticket. We are more excited than ever to support President Trump and Senator Vance in this election to reverse the disastrous Biden-Harris agenda.
In a speech at the Republican National Convention, Matt Brooks, CEO of the Republican Jewish Coalition, had this to say:
“Hello Milwaukee! Let me hear you cheer if you support Israel!
Now, if someone tried that at the Democrats’ convention, they’d be booed off the stage! But here at the Republican Convention, we proudly and loudly stand with Israel!
This election is a critical moment for the American Jewish community and for Israel. This is our chance to continue the incredible pro-Israel legacy of the most pro-Israel President in history, Donald J. Trump.
President Trump – among his many accomplishments – they said it couldn’t be done: he moved the US embassy to Jerusalem; they said it couldn’t be done: he weakened the Iranian regime; and they said it couldn’t be done: he delivered the historic Abraham Accords—bringing us closer to peace in the Middle East!
With President Trump, we will repair and rebuild the US-Israel relationship after four disastrous years under President Biden.
Today, nine months after the horrific Hamas attacks, shockingly President Biden is still withholding arms that Israel needs to defend itself. America MUST stand with Israel and against the terrorists—especially Iran! We MUST stand with the Israeli people!
My message to the Jewish community is clear: there is only one pro-Israel party, and it is the Republican Party!
Here at home, under Donald Trump, we will put a stop to the rising tide of antisemitism.
President Trump will bring back law and order so that American Jews can once again wear a kippah and walk the streets without fear. President Trump will stop the mobs on college campuses so Jewish students feel safe when they go to class.
The Jewish community is ready to help elect Donald Trump and J.D. Vance! The Jewish vote continues to increase for Republicans year after year—and 2024 will be no different.
So let me ask you:
Who will best stand up to the Hamas-sympathizers and the Squad?! Donald Trump!
Who will best stand with Israel?! Donald Trump!
Who will make sure Jews feel safe and secure?! Donald Trump!
Thank you RNC for the opportunity to speak today and for President Trump’s commitment to elevating Jewish American voices. Together, we will win!”
Jews Choose Trump: Donald Trump chose a strong supporter of Israel when he selected JD Vance as his vice president. The comparison with the Palestinian sympathizer and Israel critic, VP Kamala Harris, could not be more stark.
Vance does not want any limits placed on support for Israel’s war on HAMAS. His staunch support for a strong US-Israel relationship rests on his view that Israel is essential to protecting US Interests in the Middle East. Vance has accused Biden of “making it harder and harder” for Israel to vanquish Hamas, arguing that Biden’s policies have unnecessarily prolonged the war and prevented an Israeli-Saudi rapprochement.
Vance had the courage to call out how the Biden policy of lifting sanctions on Iran has fueled Middle East wars and terrorism. When HAMAS carried out its attack on October 7 last year, Vance pinned blame on the Biden administration, saying that Americans had to face the stark truth that their tax dollars had funded this.
Vance has also introduced bills to withhold federal funds for colleges where there have been encampments or protests in favor of HAMAS and against Israel. He’s introduced legislation to ratchet up enforcement of federal laws that require disclosure of foreign funding to colleges and universities. He also sponsored a bill that would increase the excise tax on endowments’ net investment income to 35%. The tax was necessary, he said, to rein in a university system that ” has gone so insane.”
Vance has introduced legislation to end the inherently racist and antisemitic DEI programs by cutting all federal funding for DEI programs and staff. Vance argues that “The DEI agenda is a destructive ideology that breeds hatred and racial division. It has no place in our federal government or anywhere else in our society.”
Senator Vance led the charge to prevent Palestinian resettlement in America. Vance wrote to Biden last November urging Biden to not implement special immigration protections for Palestinians, calling on Biden to “remember your oath to protect the lives of American citizens and not import a population of potentially radicalized individuals into the United States.”
According to Vance: “Joe Biden’s done nothing. You have the infrastructure there, sitting there, to weaken Iran, to strengthen our ally Israel. Joe Biden’s done nothing with it, Donald Trump would invigorate it.”
Israel does not have a better friend than Donald Trump.
Trump chose as VP a staunch supporter of Israel and fighter against antisemitism.
