ENCINITAS, California (Press Release) – With gratitude and appreciation, Seacrest Foundation and the Women’s Auxiliary thank the San Diego Jewish community for supporting the residents of Seacrest Village. Seacrest Foundation’s Women’s Auxiliary held the 46th Annual Together Wherever In Spirit Gala & Online Auction, a stay-at-home but stay connected event from May to July. This year, our Jewish community came together in spirit as one connected family as we sent love to the residents of Seacrest Village to support our parents, grandparents, friends, and members of our community so they may have a safe, secure, and loving Jewish home.

We were honored to announce that we met the matching opportunity. A generous family offered to match all funds raised for the Together Wherever In Spirit Gala & Online Auction, up to $250,000. With a tremendous amount of love and support the event raised $530,000 to support the Seacrest Village Resident Assistance Fund, which provides charitable care for residents in need. These critical funds will provide housing, healthcare, and supportive services to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the residents.

The Together Wherever In Spirit Gala & Online Auction was driven by Co-Chairs, Linda & Wayne Otchis (our Seacrest Foundation Board President), and Women’s Auxiliary President, Mary Epsten.

A series of beautiful videos from grateful residents, family members, Seacrest Foundation Board President, Wayne Otchis, and Women’s Auxiliary President, Mary Epsten, were sent to the community to relay the residents’ feelings of why Seacrest Village is so special to them, and the unsurpassed level of care that is
provided to them.

Gifts associated with certain sponsorship levels will be hand-delivered to sponsors to make their “at home” evening special. An extensive online auction was held from July 22 to July 26, 2024. Participants enjoyed the opportunity to acquire highly sought-after items while simultaneously deepening their impact on the critical work of Seacrest Foundation.
