SAN DIEGO — Although Vice President J.D. Vance recently assured an interviewer that Trump would decide to pardon the 1/6 rioters on a case-to-case basis, Trump pardoned all of them, even those convicted of assaulting Capitol police. The Pride Boys and Oath Keepers immediately disbanded and reconstituted themselves as the Stormtroopers under the leadership of Elon Musk. What’s next: exonerating the 70 George Floyd protesters who received prison sentences? That won’t happen because they’re not “fine people.”
Donald Trump ended DEI hiring by the government and put all DEI civil service workers on paid leave. That’s too bad for his DEI appointees: Kash Patel, Marco Rubio, Lori Chavez-DeReme, Scott Turner, Steven Cheung, Jayanta Bhattacharya, Janette Nesheiwat and Tulsi Gabbard.
Donald Trump vowed to bring food prices down, particularly eggs which have shot up by over a third in cost due to the avian flu epidemic. Perhaps he will implement an accelerated research program to develop a vaccine. Once the vaccine is approved, he will tell farmers it is optional for them to inoculate their chickens, and that they have the option of putting bleach in their water. Then Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will block the distribution of the vaccine because it causes autism in chickens making them cluck obliviously when humans are around.
Donald Trump withdrew from the Paris Climate Accords and the World Health Organization. Now neither of these organizations will be able to intervene when the number of skin cancer cases rises in the United States, millions drown from rising sea levels, and wildfires become equal opportunity disasters for all 50 states.
Three days have passed, and, Trump has failed to end the war in Ukraine. He’s already two days behind his campaign promise.
Trump treated Episcopal Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde the way he demonizes anyone who disagrees with him. After she calmly urged him to be merciful towards LGBT people and immigrants in accordance with Christian ethics, he castigated her as a “Radical Left hard line Trump hater” who was “ungracious,” “nasty,” and “not compelling or smart” citing the Sermon on the Mount as it appears in his Gold Bless America Bible: “Whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, denigrate them before punching them in the face.”
