WASHINGTON, D.C. (Press Release) — Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee’s confirmation as the U.S. Ambassador to Israel was hailed by Jewish and Christian organizations on Wednesday, April 9.
Morton A. Klein, the national president of the Zionist Organization of America, stated: “Huckabee has a powerful understanding of the complexities of the Arab Islamic war against Israel and the West; of the holiness of Judea/Samaria to the Jewish people and the danger of creating a Palestinian Arab terrorist state which pays Arabs to murder Jews.
“Gov. Huckabee was honored in 2013 by the Zionist Organization of America with our Sheldon and Miriam Adelson Defender of Israel Award. He is an ardent and knowledgeable advocate for the Jewish people and the Jewish state and we look forward to his tenure representing the interests of the United States in supporting our ally, Israel, and in countering Arab Islamic war against Israel and the West.”
Former U.S. Sen. Norman Coleman and Matt Brooks, respectively chairman and chief executive officer of the Republican Jewish Coalition, said: “The RJC is thrilled to congratulate Ambassador Mike Huckabee on his bipartisan Senate confirmation to serve as US Ambassador to Israel.
“Israel has had no greater friend in the White House than President Trump, and Ambassador Huckabee will serve with distinction as part of the Trump administration’s Pro-Israel Dream Team.
“A long-time friend of the RJC, we know Ambassador Huckabee will strengthen the US-Israel relationship to even greater heights.
