JFest Announces May 21-June 30 Schedule

SAN DIEGO (Press Release) – The Lipinsky Family San Diego Jewish Arts Festival (JFest) returns for its 32nd year, bringing a vibrant celebration of Jewish culture and creativity to the San Diego community.

From May 21 to June 30, 2025, JFest has something for everyone, featuring various dynamic performances, captivating conversations, and unique cultural experiences that showcase the diversity of Jewish heritage through music, theater, speakers, and art.

This year’s festival promises an exciting lineup, from award-winning fiddler and singer-songwriter Lily Henley’s performance of Sephardic songs to an insightful keynote conversation on the future of higher education featuring Dr. Peter Salovey and Rabbi Meir Soloveichik.

From mesmerizing Klezmer music to an immersive experience of Syrian Jewish culture, to the celebrated Women of Valor, honoring six inspiring women who have made lasting contributions to the Jewish community.

Grammy-nominated singer and touring band member with the legendary songwriter Leonard Cohen, Perla Batalla returns with a festival favorite, and Jewish Broadway Composers will be celebrated in a dazzling new musical revue.

From Broadway to an HBO special, and now in San Diego, critically acclaimed comedian Alex Edelman headlines the 32nd edition’s festivities with his latest show “What Are You Going To Do.”

Todd Salovey, founding artistic director of JFest, shares, “Great art awakens hope, inspires empathy, and builds pride.  Art helps us face challenges, inspires resilience, and brings joy.  We have great shows this year.  I am so proud and excited for JFest’s 32nd season!”

Venues across San Diego will host performances and events, including the Lawrence Family JCC, UCSD, Congregation Adat Yeshurun, Leichtag Commons, Enigma Theatre in Bay Park, and the California Center for the Arts in Escondido.
