ENCINITAS, California (Press Release) – The Women’s Auxiliary of Seacrest Village Retirement Communities held a special ladies’ luncheon on Thursday, October 7, featuring expert speakers that explored “Alternatives to Plastic Surgery.”
Topics included Accent XL Laser, ReFirme™ Skin Tightening, Harmony™ Laser, Elos™ Skin Rejuvenation, injectibles such as Botox and dermal fillers, permanent makeup and micro skin needling.The afternoon began as guests mingled and sipped iced tea in the private dining room of the Sbicca Bistro in Del Mar. Women’s Auxiliary President Mary Epsten welcomed the ladies, shared information on the Women’s Auxiliary and thanked presenters Susie Phillips, owner of Advanced Body Solutions, and Jennifer Waring, owner of Advanced Clinical Aesthetics, as well as event sponsors Laura Hooper Calligraphy, Intriguing Fine Lingerie in Carlsbad Village and Sbicca Bistro.
Susie Phillips and Monica Montaño of Advanced Body Solutions began the presentation discussing Pixel skin resurfacing and Harmony™ laser to combat skin discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles and followed with body shaping by ReFirme™, Accent XL and muscle stimulation. Specialist Krissy Kitsos discussed various injectibles available today and the many different areas that can benefit from their use. Jennifer Waring continued the presentation sharing her expertise on permanent makeup for eyebrows, eyeliner, full lips, lip liner, scar camouflage and hair imitation amongst others.
She also discussed skin needling, a procedure that offers results similar to laser, chemical peels and derm-abrasion but is much less invasive. Perhaps the most impressive portion of the presentation was the before and after photos of clients treated by our experts themselves.
Guests enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by Sbicca Bistro that included their choice of grilled salmon salad, Cajun chicken sandwich or vegetable wrap and a decadent fudge brownie with gelato espresso, tiramisu or fruit sorbet for dessert. Epsen closed the luncheon with five exciting prize drawings including a gift certificate towards any service at Advanced Body Solutions, one micro needling service at Advanced Clinical Aesthetics, one set of letter pressed thank you cards from Laura Hooper Calligraphy and a gift certificate to Intriguing Fine Lingerie.
The Women’s Auxiliary of Seacrest is dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of the residents of Seacrest Village by coordinating fundraising events that raise awareness and bring the community together to support Seacrest.
For over forty years, the Women’s Auxiliary has aided Seacrest Village in its ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality of care in a warm and dignified environment for older adults in our community, regardless of their ability to pay.
Each year Seacrest Village Retirement Communities serves almost four hundred seniors between the Encinitas and Rancho Bernardo campuses.
