JFS earns 4-star rating from Charity Navigator

SAN DIEGO  (Press Release)— Jewish Family Service of San Diego has received the coveted 4-Star Rating for the third year in a row for sound fiscal management from Charity Navigator (www.charitynavigator.org ), America’s premier charity evaluator that spotlights fine work of efficient charities and provides donors with essential information needed to give them greater confidence in charitable choices that they make.

“As the nonprofit sector continues to grow at an unprecedented pace, savvy donors are demanding more accountability, transparency and quantifiable results from the charities they choose to support with their hard-earned dollars,” said Ken Berger, president and chief executive officer of Charity Navigator.

Approximately one-quarter of the charities evaluated by Charity Navigator have received its highest 4 Star-Rating. Forbes, Fortune and Kiplinger’s Financial magazine, among others, have profiled and celebrated Charity Navigators unique method of applying data-drive analysis to the charitable sector.
