SAN DIEGO−First, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced it had lifted an Obama-era ban on importing sport-hunted trophies of elephants from Zimbabwe and Zambia. President Trump initially agreed with the new policy but changed his mind because at first he thought the Obama policy banned the importation of trophy wives from Eastern Europe.

Harvey Weinstein was fired from the studio he founded for many allegations of sexual assault. The premier of Louis C.K.’s forthcoming movie has been cancelled as have his TV contracts after he was accused by five women of sexual misconduct. President Trump was elected and remains in office despite multiple charges of sexual harassment and his bragging on videotape that he grabs women by the genitals. Roy Moore still might win a seat in the Senate despite multiple allegations of sexual misconduct with teenage women. If Hollywood is Tinsel Town, then Washington is Sin Sells Town.

Starbucks released its new commercial for Holiday Cups. Since it features two cartoon women holding hands, social conservatives have accused the company of promoting a gay agenda. If I were them, I’d be more worried about Santa employing all those male elves.

As a private dinner this summer, General McMaster called President Trump an “idiot,” and a “dope” with the intelligence of a “kindergartner.” Rex Tillerson reportedly called Trump a “moron.” Those close to Trump dispute these characterizations as overestimations of his IQ.
