SAN DIEGO –The Tifereth Israel Community Orchestra, joined by the San Diego Mormon Choir and soprano Lindsay Robison Killian, will present a pair of concerts March 30 and April 2 dedicated to the memory of Rabbi Leonard Rosenthal, spiritual leader emeritus of Tifereth Israel Synagogue and former member of the orchestra.
Conductor David Amos said the program will include music by Copland, Ipolotov-Ivanov, Ron Nelson, and choral and vocal selections with orchestra by Menotti, Mendelssohn (Elijah), Brahms, Richard Strauss, Bellini, and Mascagni.
The Saturday March 30 performance will be held at 8:30 p.m. at the Patrick Henry High Arts and Music Education (PHAME) auditorium at 6792 Wandermere Drive, San Diego
The Tuesday, April 2 concert will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on the orchestra’s home stage at Tifereth Israel Synagogue, 6660 Cowles Mountain Boulevard.
