U.S. National Archives releases formerly classified material on high ranking Nazis

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Press Release)– The National Archives has issued a report on the final days of the Third Reich and the efforts of high-ranking Nazis to escape thereafter.   It is based on formerly classified material covering, among other topics, Adolf Hitler’s last days in his bunker,  the background for Adolf Eichmann’s estimate of 6 million Jews killed by the Nazis, and the intention of the Nazis and the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al Husseini, to launch a campaign to murder all the Jews in Palestine.
