SAN DIEGO — Following is a list of positions San Diego Jewish World has taken on candidates and propositions appearing on ballots in San Diego County. In some cases, we have made no endorsement, either because we felt we didn’t have enough information to do so, or because we could not bring ourselves to back either candidate. Sam Litvin sent in this dissenting view about the 7th District San Diego City Council race:
I am worried about Zosa. It’s good to have an Asian-American but in my many interactions with Zosa, his inability to look at things from another point of view or take in and understand facts that are contrary to his belief will not serve well San Diego.
I admit I don’t know Campillo well, but he seems more qualified. A city of millions is not a restaurant of 100 employees. If he is elected, I hope he does a good job and learns on the job, but that is not certain and his learning curve will be learned on all of us.
