After a diplomatic ice age lasting years between the countries, Sweden’s Foreign Minister Ann Linde was in Israel for an official visit. Sweden’s chief diplomat began by visiting the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial in Jerusalem on Monday, having arrived in Israel the previous evening. “A very painful but crucial visit,” Linde wrote about her time at the memorial on Twitter. “We will continue to take actions to combat anti-Semitism in all its form and to make sure we never forget,” she added.
