(Melody: “Still Crazy After All These Years,” by Paul Simon. Listen to Baron’s recording here.)
I got the latest booster several months ago.
I wear a mask when I visit crowded rooms.
I was hoping that by this time vaccines would ease my fears.
Still Covid after all these years.
Oh, still Covid after all these years.
I’m a cautious person, who once quarantined.
I keep my distance six feet apart.
And I didn’t swallow Clorox, which I knew deserved some jeers.
Still Covid after all these years
Oh, still Covid after all these years
If I’ve a fever
I’m a believer
I always worry
I will catch it.
And I will cease to be.
I watch the TV and hear the news
About new outbreaks and virus strains.
Though I’d like to ignore it and cover my ears.
Still Covid after all these years.
Oh, still Covid.
Still Covid.
Still Covid after all these years
