March 30 at Congregation Beth Israel: ‘The State of Antisemitism in America’

SAN DIEGO (Press Release) — Each day seems to bring more troubling news about the state of antisemitism in America, and San Diego has not been immune to this hate. Over the last few years, American Jews have been murdered in synagogues and shot in the streets, Jewish institutions have been vandalized, congregants have been taken hostage, multiple communities have faced bomb threats, and celebrity antisemitism has brought anti-Jewish conspiracies into the mainstream. How are American Jews feeling? What are their personal experiences with antisemitism? Are young American Jews facing antisemitism differently than adults? What are they experiencing in our schools and universities? And what does the broader American public know?

For the answers to these important questions and more, hear from Holly Huffnagle, American Jewish Committee (AJC) U.S. Director for Combating Antisemitism, and Sara Brown, the new AJC Regional Director in San Diego, on March 30, 7 p.m. at Congregation Beth Israel.

Hosted by AJC San Diego, Jewish Federation of San Diego, and Congregation Beth Israel.
