Former Congresswoman Lynn Schenk D-San Diego, left, has joined her brother Frederick Schenk, right, and his son Benjamin in a new law firm — The Schenk Law Firm — with offices at 600 W. Broadway, Suite 700, San Diego. Fred Schenk was a partner for over 40 years of the CaseyGerry firm, where he worked as a plaintiff’s attorney. He has won the San Diego County Bar Association’s Community Service Award and the USD School of Law’s Distinguished Alumni Award. He also serves as president of the San Diego County Fair Board. Former Congresswoman Schenk will provide the firm with her government experience at the federal, state and local levels. She had served as California Secretary of Business and Transportation under Gov. Jerry Brown and chief of staff under Gov. Gray Davis. She also served as a San Diego Unified Port District Port Commissioner. Benjamin is a trial attorney of Fell Law, and founded the Civic Group LLC, a commercial real estate investment and asset management firm. The family has been prominent in the Jewish community.
