SAN DIEGO — Quite often, you want to shout “Mazel Tov” to the people whose accomplishments you admire! Me, I’m lucky to be able also to publish the words.
–To Dr. Joel Moskowitz, frequent contributor to San Diego Jewish World, who has received a plaque of appreciation from the San Diego chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians for his column in the “MagiCurrents” magazine and for helping the organization revise its by-laws and constitution. Mazel Tov!
–To Garry Fabian, Australia bureau chief of San Diego Jewish World, who recently was elected president of his Rotary Club down under. Mazal Tov!
–To Julia Vanderwiel, named “Junior Artist of the Year” of ACT-San Diego for her work in such productions as 13, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Bye Bye Birdie, and Seussical. Mazel tov!
–To Adira Rosen, who had guests to her bat mitzvah service last Shabbat at Congregation Beth El donate shoes to the needy rather than gifts toher, thereby bringing into harmony souls and soles. Mazel tov!
