The Palisades Gardens Dance and Figure Club have high hopes for a well-rounded competitive year for the team of Judy Aved and Don Riordan.
Judy, a skater of ten months, established and maintained an enviable record of skating. With only six weeks of skating behind her, she placed in the semi-finals in a Southern California meet in San Diego. During her last contest she finished first in the Southern California meet held in National City.
Looking ahead, there is a very heavy training schedule for Judy. She is preparing herself for the state and regional meet to be held in Santa Ana June 30th through July 4th. Her coaches, George and Irene McCann, skating professionals at Palisades Garden Roller Rink, predict that Judy and her partner hava a very good chance of finishing among the top at the regional contest.
