San Diego Jewish World staff report
SAN DIEGO (SDJW)– Like many of us, Melanie Rubin enjoys decoding personalized license plates. CA 18, she has decided, is double code. CA is the Post Office abbreviation for California. And 18 is the numeric value of the Hebrew word ‘Chai,” meaning “Life.” Ergo, this license plate would appear to mean “California Life.”
Melanie Rubin is a license plate maven, but you can get into the game too, in whatever state or province personalized license plates are sold. Have you seen any that tell a Jewish story? Send us a photograph, and we’ll be so happy to give you a credit.
