Humoring the headlines: February 9, 2015

SAN DIEGO─ Vice-President Biden announced he will be out of the country when Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addresses Congress.  A growing number of Democratic senators are considering boycotting his speech too prompting ZOA to charge that this is just another manifestation of the BDS movement, Bibi’s Democratic Snub.

Brian Williams has taken a hiatus from his position as news anchor at NBC after admitting he fabricated a story about being on a helicopter in Iraq that was hit by anti-aircraft fire.  Fact checkers are now investigating his claim that he parachuted out of Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 shortly before it disappeared.

Egyptian police killed 25 people suppressing a riot that broke out at a soccer game, and the government has suspended the playing of soccer until things cool down.  Worried about the loss of revenue, FIFA threatened to put Adidas and Nike shoes on the ground.

Confident that it produces polished recruitment videos, ISIS hopes to syndicate a television series called “Make Room for Baghdadi.”
