SAN DIEGO — We may think we know about the FBI. After all, many of us have watched such series on television as the X-Files; Bones; Sue Thomas, FB-Eye; Without a Trace; Numb3rs; Criminal Minds; White Collar; The Mentalist; and Quantico, and have viewed countless movies about the “G-Men.” Now there are even video games.
But how much do we know really? What is the FBI like in real life?
Eric Birnbaum, the special agent in charge of the San Diego regional office of the FBI, will answer that question and others at the Thursday, November 12, dinner meeting sponsored by the Men’s Club of Tifereth Israel Synagogue, 6660 Cowles Mountain Boulevard. The kosher dinner buffet starts at 6:15 p.m. with Birnbaum scheduled to be introduced an hour later.
Men and women of the public are welcome to attend the dinner, which costs $17, and to pose questions to the FBI special agent in charge during a question-and-answer session following his speech. More information may be obtained from the synagogue at (619) 697-6001.
