What is a ‘Jewsraeli’?

By Steve Kramer KFAR SAVA, Israel — There is concern today by many in Israel that some Israelis are unappreciative of their Jewish heritage. Author and journalist Shmuel Rosner has challenged this by suggesting a new paradigm for most of us, whom he calls, “Jewsraelis.” Since Israel’s independence in 1948, Israelis have changed radically. Washington Post columnist Milbank misreads Omar

By Steve Kramer KFAR SAVA, Israel — Just a week after writing critically about an article by a well-known journalist in an influential publication, I again feel the necessity to respond to the utter nonsense that these prominent “experts” espouse to their large readerships. I know where that comes from: “fake news” about Israel from the mass media. The majority of U.S. liberal Jews truly believe that

Are Democrats going way of British Labour?

By Steve Kramer KFAR SAVA, Israel –I’ve just finished watching the Netflix hit, Fauda, on my iPhone. This gritty Israeli series has Hebrew and Arab dialogue with English subtitles. Fauda is a realistic portrayal of the intelligence services’ activities in Israeli and Arab towns to prevent terror attacks or to apprehend or “liquidate” terrorists. Fauda’s pace
