Respite in San Diego for Sha’ar Hanegev Social Workers

Their time in San Diego is possible through funding from the federation’s Emergency Israel campaign. Closer to the October 7th attacks , the federation and San Diego community raised more than $9 million in emergency aid in just a few weeks. WWII ‘Ghost Army’ Feted at ‘Only Yesterday’ Private Museum

The Ghost Army was comprised of 1,100 specially selected men who learned and practiced deception techniques to fool the Germans as to the location of allied forces. While lightly armed, they exposed themselves to great danger.
