  1. Today 25 April 2024 in New Zealand and Australia we celebrate ANZAC day 109 years after the defeat of the ANZAC’s by Atatuk’s Turkish troops In battle on the Gallipoli peninsula in1915. We also remember with At Gallipoli each year where New Zealand, Australia and Turkey commemorate the battle together. Ataturk was defeated by the Indian army at Haifa and latter he became president of Turkey. He recognised the bravery of the ANZAC’s which is why we have the memorial service in Turkey each year as the main event of ANZAC Day.
In America we see antisemitism coming to the fore in universities and other places In a disturbing way. 50 members of my family decendents of my Great Great Grandfather who arrived here in May 1865 fought in two world wars in New Zealand and Australin forces. we took casualties in both wars. The biggest contribution was against the Nazi Germans and today the family was out in force at the local memorial at Hatuma village a mile from where I live. The brass name plate has been damaged beyond repair 2 weeks ago by thugs with sledge hammers. We will get the people who did the damage and they will go to jail. Americans Must stand up and be countered and oppose what is going on in your country. If you don’t, what we fought for will come to mean Nothing. Kia Kaha. Stand Tall. We also remember at Gallipoli with the Turks each year…………………….
    A New Zealand Kiwi
